This Morning Broadcasts from Buckingham Palace for the Platinum Jubilee

This Morning viewers threatened to “shut down” as the ITV show was televised live from Buckingham Palace today.

In a premiere screening, the first part of the show was streamed live from the palace in London, as Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby led a program to help celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Year.

As the show began, a very epic version of the This Morning theme tune was played as the duo approached the grand doors of Buckingham Palace in a luxury vehicle.

Stepping out of the car, Phil in a suit while Holly opted for a sparkling and glamorous gold dress.

However, while the pair seemed thrilled there, viewers were less than enthusiastic about the new broadcast location.

“That was me shutting down, didn’t think it could get any worse… i was so wrong #ThisMorning,” one person wrote, as a second wrote: “Eurgh no, this wouldn’t be possible Can you stand it today? #This morning. ”

A third wrote: “Time to shut down! #This morning“, with Wednesday’s share on Twitter: “God, you know it’s going to be hard work today as they’re promoting walking up one flight of stairs then as a stretch #This morning. ”

Another asked: “Why are they even there if the queen is perhaps at Windsor? #This morning. ”

Others liked the new location, as they heaped praise on the duo and the Queen.

“Oh my god, I’m in love #This morning today, bloody love for our wonderful Queen,” one wrote, as a second added: “Why can’t I look around the Palace, what a lovely place, the Hollies dress this super #This morning more gorgeous than ever @hollywills. ”

The duo announced the news they will be airing from Buckingham Palace on yesterday’s show.

Two members of the London Troopers began playing as Gyles Brandreth read the invitation from the palace, sharing: “Mr Schofield and Mrs Willoughby, you have been assigned a royal appointment tomorrow, for our sakes. will be broadcast live from Buckingham Palace to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

“You’ll be looking back on the Queen’s 70 years of splendor, with a host of special guests. We look forward to welcoming you in person from 10am tomorrow as the celebrations begin at Buckingham Palace.”

Holly admitted: “I was so excited. It almost made me cry! Downton Abbey and now Buckingham Palace – we get the keys to all the best houses in England, don’t we?” as Phil replied: “We really do! But this is the best!”
