Villages in East and West Sussex are among the poshest places to live in the UK

It’s official, the landscape The real estate market is booming as people flee the cities in search of perfection rural bolt hole.

Realtor Knight Frank this week reported the highest number of sales in the land market in 15 years and the number of hometown Shoppers who register last year increased by 35 percent.

Fueled by this increased demand for country life, The Telegraph named where they calculated are the country’s most desirable villages in each county.

Frances Clacy, an analyst at Savills, told the newspaper what makes a place so desirable: “People want villages that have a little bit of everything, from schools to villages breathtaking scenerywith access to cities and transport infrastructure.

“Less well-established factors also count, such as the fact that the main road through the village should only lead to other villages.”

When considering the highest property prices, best lifestyle amenities, connectivity and chocolate box appeal, the villages of East and West Sussex come out on top.

East Sussex’s most desirable village

Kingston near Lewes
