Virgin Media star Muireann O’Connell gives her first look at engagement ring options as she searches for the perfect one

VIRGIN Media star Muireann O’Connell has given fans a first look at her engagement ring options.

Last year’s presenter had engaged to her longtime boyfriend whom she calls her ‘housemate’, to keep his identity a secret.

At the start of her Instagram story, Muireann reached out and showed three potential engagement rings on her finger.

There is a gorgeous flower-like ring with a purple rock encrusted with diamonds and a rose gold band.

Another option is a square, more sparkly ring with a blue gem in the center.

The last one is a round ring with diamonds around the strap and a blue stone in the center.

Muireann captioned the snap: “We’ll definitely try them all”.

Muireann is famously tight-lipped about her other half, often calling him “housemate”.

Comments on her engagement, which happened in her family’s kitchen, Muireann recently said she “never cared much” about the thought of her wedding.

She said: “I’ve been staying with my housemate for a few years and my uncle thinks we’re engaged because we’ve been together long enough!

“I’m not one to ever imagine my wedding day, I never really cared much, but I have to say it was lovely when it turned out.”

Muireann’s fiancé offer on a vacation to Kerry and the host had previously joked that it would take them a decade to get married.

Muireann said: “I got engaged over the weekend. It was so lovely!

“He was trying to pick a romantic place, we stayed at the Europe hotel, and then we stayed at his favorite hotel in Cromane, but nothing was going well.

“Then I kept asking my mom to go around with us this weekend. He would say, ‘Let’s go for a walk,’ and I would say, ‘Mom let’s go! “

“He took his chance while we were standing in the kitchen and I was making a cup of tea. He got down on one knee, and yes, I cried.

“It took us years to get here, so the wedding will be in a decade.”
