“It shows that we are human. I love watching other people’s mistakes on TV.
“So hopefully they don’t mind watching mine.”
She said: “Around this time last year, I didn’t know I was going to get a new job, new crew, new host, so it’s been a while.
“It’s just mental. When I think back, we weren’t even able to finish our highlight this time last year. ”
TOO HER PLACE
TV presenter, who was recently on The Six O’Clock Show, as Muireann O’Connell, taking the place on Ireland AM.
While the show swap was a small surprise for Karen, she said it was a “very easy decision to do the little wife swap on television.”

Since joining the new group, the Killiney woman has adapted to her new routine and waking up at 7am feels like “a lie”.
The 40-year-old explains: “That’s when I stopped doing it and you realize you need your stamina for that change, it’s exhausting.
“I would have been a healthier, less irritable version of me when I didn’t wake up at 5 a.m.”
KEEP THE LIGHT
The broadcaster thrives on interviewing celebrities and hopes that love will help her “shine” on screen.
“I think my personality naturally allows me to do lighter, fun things,” she said.
She continued: “As much as I’ve put old current affairs on the Ireland AM network, it’s just not my forte when it comes to talking to ministers.
“I think I found my comfort zone on the Six O’Clock Show.”
HER TELEVISION CO-PILOT
Martin and Karen have a long friendship but never got the chance to work together for 18 years.
When she collaborated with Martin King, she found the show to be a “dream” to present.
The couple revealed that they are always ready to support each other, when things go wrong, live on the waves.
“I look back at Martin because I’m like ‘I’ve got nothing,'” she said. I was completely empty-handed or I wrote the script wrong.
“I just intentionally switched Martin, make eye contact with him and he knows. “
