TELLY star Martin King said he and his wife Jenny are looking forward to getting rid of their past health troubles.
Broadcaster Jenny McCarthy’s wife overcame a brain tumor in 2011 but recently announced that it’s back.
The famous wedding photographer will undergo surgery next month after doctors discovered a growth in her brain.
And Virgin Media favorite Martin had his own health problems in 2020 when he was given five stents after a heart attack.
Speaking about Jenny’s recent discovery, the host of the Six O’Clock Show said: “The prognosis is good, it’s fantastic. And we knew she had to do the procedure again.
“And there’s six weeks of recovery that she has to go through and then she’ll be back to normal.”
And Martin revealed his wife asked him not to take the day off.
“We are in a position where our children are a little older so they have a little more responsibility,” he said.

“We have things that I don’t need to rest but I will need to take something off, especially when she first comes into the hospital.
“I will probably need to take some time. More to babysitting to make sure she’s not working, that she’s taking care of herself and relaxing. “
He continued: “The support, the messages came from every angle. I know (co-star) Karen (Koster) is also connected to Jenny. So it’s just adorable.
“It makes you only rekindle your belief in human goodness when you get messages like that.
“So we’re in a good place, Jenny is in a good place. We’re just looking forward to the other side of it. “
PERSONAL HEALTH CARE
The presenter revealed how scared he was at Christmas 2019, when the docs discovered “one of the arteries at the back of my heart was almost 90% clogged. ”
In April, he had 5 stents placed in his heart.
He explained: “I was a bit panicked, didn’t know what was going on, went to check and found that there was something wrong in and around the water pipe, around the heart.
“So I went in and checked it out. And we discovered that I had some bottlenecks there. “
He said there was a bit of “sandblasting” but he feels “good now”.
He said: “If you shake me in the evening, you get goosebumps because there were a few pills in me at that time.
“I am under the care of a good cardiologist. He made sure I was doing what I needed to do.
“Every year I would come in and have my angiogram just to see if everything was as it should be. If not, he will deal with it. ”
The TV explains that the couple has “a bit of a rough time getting through next month” but they have a lot to look forward to this year.
“In 2022, you will be one – maybe even more,” he said.
“And we had a wedding. Our eldest son is getting married, it will happen in June.
“They had a baby arriving at the end of May. It will be a wonderful time. ”
