Visitors to Super Nintendo World in Japan can now rent Switch Docks at their hotels

Vacations are great and all, but when you have to return to the hotel at the end of the day, it’s a bit of a shame when you’re not able to start a nice game of Mario Party Superstars on the bedroom TV – unless , You brought your Nintendo Switch dock, but why waste valuable luggage space on a dock when you can fill it with Mario plushies from Super Nintendo World instead?

Knowing full well that the problem here is that the hotel doesn’t have docks, Nintendo has teamed up with a handful of hotels near Universal Studios Japan (where Super Nintendo World is located) to offer a dock rental service. Visitors can rent the dock, a high-speed HDMI cable, and the Nintendo Switch power adapter from April 23 at the following hotels:

  • Oriental Hotel Universal City
  • The Park Front Hotel at Universal Studios Japan
  • Hotel Keihan Universal Tower
  • Hotel Universalhafen

Three other hotels are still preparing for jetty rental and will offer it at a later date:

  • Hotel Kintetsu universal city
  • Hotel Universalport Vita
  • Liber Hotel at Universal Studios Japan

Is that a good idea, or do you already take your dock with you on every vacation? Would you like hotels to offer this in your country? Let us know in the comments! Visitors to Super Nintendo World in Japan can now rent Switch Docks at their hotels
