Visual arts and AI bring dozens of pioneers to life

Some of the world’s most brilliant AI minds and some of the best artists from nine countries came together months ago to bring 150 of the world’s finest historical pioneers back to life in a one-of-a-kind NFT collectible series called Pionauts, which will be of great use to holders.

In creating it, the Pionauts team reinvented the NFT space by fusing digital art and advanced AI technology and telling a new story. The Pionauts is a rare NFT collection that juxtaposes art using historical figures, brings them into the modern age, and propels them into the future as pioneering astronauts.

the pionauts takes those who choose to collect them on a journey from the past to the future with an unprecedented opportunity to own these rare collectibles, which come with ongoing royalties from future comics, games, brand partnerships, educational programs, and films. All of these medium and long-term projects are already in the exploration phase.

Through the application of deep learning technology and months of manual retouching, a collection of 8,500 unique variations with modified features such as age, facial features and expressions was created. They gave the pionauts natural movement on MP4.

Pionaut collectors also get access to a free JPG of their NFT to print out as a poster. They come in an unusually high resolution of 3000×3000 pixels.

Dozens of pioneers brought back to life include William Shakespeare, Nefertiti, Napoleon, Aristotle, Charles Darwin, Joan de Arc, Cleopatra, Julius Caesar, Albert Einstein, Vincent van Gogh, Ludwig van Beethoven, Mozart and Nelson Mandela . In consultation with the growing community, the Pionauts team decided to create 50% male and 50% female pioneers.

The Pionauts Collection is digital art created for the collector to connect with emotionally. The goal was to give collectors the feeling that they knew the pionaut and that the historical figure was looking back at them when viewing this extraordinary art form.

The team took the pioneers and turned them into pionauts by reinventing them the future of NFT art and to bridge the past into the future via AI. Our technology brings our digital art to life. It is the convergence of art and technology. We made the story futuristic. We brought historical figures to life and catapulted them into the future.

The convergence of art and technology

The development of art has gone through several phases and stages. We now see the application of technology as part of this development. However, very few artists are pushing the boundaries and creating art using new technology applications like AI.

The Pionauts stand out from an industry of digital arts and NFTs, which is currently one of the fastest growing digital asset classes.

According to a Reuters report, sales of NFTs grew to $10.7 billion in the third quarter of 2021. That is more than eight times more than in the previous quarter. According to Reuters, NFTs use blockchain to record ownership of digital items such as images, videos, collectibles, and even land in virtual worlds and more.

Pionauts are among the few that have been recreated using authentic imagery fused with technology. Most of the contemporary digital art that is created is flat, pixelated, cartoon-based, or computer generated. There was little to no innovation.

There is a need for unique stories surrounding NFTs, something that gives the collector an opportunity to connect on a deeper level and not just be an investment or a part of the latest craze. There is an opportunity to deliver a narrative that pushes the boundaries of what art is, what art can physically accomplish, and what forms it can take.

That’s what a team of two of the top five AI professionals and artists set out to do a few months ago. The team behind Pionauts were able to take the pioneers and map them to create lifelike modern humans. They brought together two different historical figures to see what they would look like using our technology.

Modification of the genes of the pioneers

The creators of pionauts also modified the “genes” of their select group of historical pioneers, transforming their age, facial features, and facial expressions.

“This is what William Shakespeare would look like if he were younger or older. Our advanced working methods allow us to create high-resolution digital art that is so lifelike that when you zoom in on the image background you can see the “brushstrokes” as if they were painted by hand, and when you zoom in on the pioneer’s skin you can see his recognize skin structure and even its fine pores.”

Digital NFT art has evolved, but the technology has not been used to the extent that it could transform space. We hope to be the pioneers in how people see and experience digital NFT art. Art can be so many things. We can change the conversation about NFT art with digitization and advanced technologies, opening up a new world for artists.

The unique Pionauts NFT collection starts on April 28, 2022. Visual arts and AI bring dozens of pioneers to life
