Vogue Williams was mocked by viewers after she confessed she’s “trying” to wear clothes on more than one occasion.
The Howtherin native presented a fashion feature on ITV’s daytime program Lorraine yesterday, in which she discussed changing her summer wardrobe for the autumn and winter months.
The podcast host admitted she pleaded guilty to only wearing clothes once, putting them back in her closet and never wearing them again.
“I would feel guilty about getting something and putting it in the closet and not wearing it again. I’m trying to get better at it,” she said.
The mother-of-three revisited the issue later on in the show, saying: “I don’t want to even wear something and then stuff it in the closet.”
Deputy presenter Christine Lampard agreed, saying “We’re all guilty of this,” while Vogue said, “It feels like it’s cool to be re-wearing and re-editing.”
Fans of the show were quick to disagree with some of the comments Williams had made.
One Twitter user wrote: “Nothing beats the money to buy something, put it in your closet and never wear it again, right? Of course I am to blame for this all the time…. Yes, exactly.”
Another wrote: “Love that @VogueWilliams is on @reallorraine telling people about cheap dresses and there she is wearing the most beautiful multi colored designer dress with sequins and blue heels that look INCREDIBLE.”
While another praised the Dubliner, saying: “I loved the fashion segment today – the Irish girls talking were great together…fresh and bright.”
