Vogue Williams has said that the “most embarrassing thing” she has ever done was fake orgasm on stage in front of her mother.
The 36-year-old wanted to be an actress before she ventured into modeling and television and landed herself a lead role in a play at the Bord Gais Theater when she was in her 20s.
Speaking on the My Therapist Ghosted Me podcast with co-host Joanne McNally, she explained how the role required her to do some very awkward scenes.
“Back in the day when I was trying to be an actor, I went and did a play at the Bord Gais Theatre, which was a pretty big deal,” she began.
“I took the lead. In the play, I had to pretend to orgasm at the table like in When Harry Met Sally. “
She laughs: “I was 22 at the time and had never had an orgasm in my life.”
Vogue says her mother and step-father Neil came to see her perform on the play’s opening night, which meant she had to undergo “embarrassing” fake orgasms with them in front of an audience.
But to her surprise, the directors scrapped the scene, meaning the Howth native never had to perform another fake orgasm on stage again.
She continued: “My mom and Neil went to opening night and I had to fake orgasm.
“And do you know what happened? They pulled it the next night because they didn’t think it would actually work in the play.
“So I did it in front of my parents and then they pulled it.
“It was the most embarrassing thing I’ve ever had to do in front of my mother,” she added.
