RamenVR, the studio behind VR MMO Zenith: The Last City, announced today that it will donate the first $100k of earnings from game sales this week to the Ukrainian Red Cross. This is an effort to send more humanitarian aid to the war-torn country when it fought off Russia, which invaded last week.

Aid has been pouring in around the world to Ukraine after the Russian military invaded the country last weekend. Game developers and studios have offered to support and stand up to the Russian invaders, including the Belarusian studio (although it is now headquartered in Cyprus) Wargaming.net, donated $1 million to the Red Cross to help those affected, including their staff at Wargaming Kyiv.

RamenVR is also helping, as the development team announced today that it will donate the first $100K of game sales this week to the Ukrainian Red Cross to help continue ongoing humanitarian aid to the land country.

In addition, the team also hopes that this will inspire those who can donate, as they acknowledge that it may not be as much as others in the grand scheme of things, but as a indie studio then this is a significant amount of money.

Here is the full statement:

Our goal with Zenith has always been to create a world of understanding where diverse cultures can come together and make friends in harmony. That’s why our hearts break as we watch the crisis in Ukraine unfold.

At the same time, we have team members in Ukraine who are witnessing these horrors first-hand – and they have asked for our help.

Accordingly, we are giving away the first $100,000 of earnings from game sales this week to the Ukrainian Red Cross and United Help Ukraine to provide humanitarian aid.

As a small studio, we know this is just a small donation in the grand scheme of things, but hopefully our contribution can help raise awareness and inspire others to donate as well. . (Please do) We hope for a peaceful resolution to this tragedy soon. #Prayer for Ukraine
