VR MMORPG Ilysia enters its second closed alpha test

Upcoming VR MMO Ilysia has entered its second closed alpha phase, after last year’s initial testing and the studio being somewhat quiet on updates. The closed alpha began on March 25th and will run until April 8th.

The test is open to anyone who can obtain closed test keys, but is also open to those who backed the game prior to Kickstarter and in certain Kickstarter tiers. There were also keys through giveaways and there will be even more chances to get a key until the last week of the Alpha, so if you are interested in testing this VR MMO there is still a chance to get a key.

If you haven’t heard of it Ilysia or just need a refresher, Team 21 Studio has been developing the VR MMO for several years and it was successfully funded on Kickstarter in 2020. Since the game is a VR title, movement mechanics are important. Combat in the game will be physics-based, with the intent for players to be able to wield weapons and be in the world, with options to fight with weapons or spells if that’s your preference. Expect PvE, PvP and lots of exploration. The team wants to create a big world that players can explore with different areas like a desert or a water and use airships, mounts or just explore.

With several VR games of varying size and community attention already underway, we are entering a brand new era where VR MMOS and similar games have an opportunity to truly find their niche and showcase what makes them special.

The ongoing second alpha follows last year’s first alpha test. You can read more about the development and changelogs for the build, including the alpha, here Ilysia Kickstarter Page. VR MMORPG Ilysia enters its second closed alpha test
