Want to play Elden Ring on the go? Get a Steam Deck


Everywhere you look, you see Elden Ring. And it’s not surprising that From Software’s new game comes out has become something of an international event now, thanks to years of high-quality releases and a huge fan following of them forever.

Before long, you won’t even be able to exit the Elden Ring once you’re signed out; it will follow you around. That guy on the bus, over there? He’s playing Elden Ring. Your boss, in the office? Elden Ring. It was a small old woman at the bus stop? You guessed it, the Elden Ring.

The game, it turns out, is perfectly capable of running on the Steam Deck. Not long before the game’s launch, the title appeared in a VG247 team member’s library on Steam as ‘Verified’.

“Valve’s testing shows that Elden Ring has been verified on the Steam Deck,” the introduction that came with the game during Steam’s compatibility check also states. “This game is fully functional on the Steam Deck and works great with the built-in controls and screens.”

Simply put, this means that the game, on the Steam Deck, has no compatibility issues and can run at 1280×800 or 1280×720 resolutions without any issues. The Elden Ring on the Steam Deck also has the necessary UI and controller input icons.

Does the Steam Deck version of the game stuttering and content streaming issues like the PC version remains to be seen.
