New Harry Potter Movies could be on the horizon if Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav has his way.
During a phone call with investors this week, the boss is said to have hinted at further productions from Hogwarts and a possible discussion with JK Rowling.
The CEO announced his intention to focus on franchise development and highlighted Harry Potter as a possible option.
He said: “We will focus on franchises. We haven’t had a Superman movie in 13 years. We haven’t done a Harry Potter in 15 years.
“The DC films and the Harry Potter films have provided Warner Bros. with much of the profits for the last 25 years.
“If we can do something with JK at Harry Potter in the future.”
He added: “So a focus on the franchise – one of the big assets that we have, House of the Dragon is an example of that, Game of Thrones, exploiting Sex and the City, Lord of the Rings, which we still do.” have the right to do Lord of the rings movies.
“Which films have brands that are understood and loved around the world?”
Eight Harry Potter films were released by Warner Bros. between 2001 and 2011, grossing $7.7 billion worldwide.
