For those who are looking Pokemon Legend: Arceus, it’s best to scour the internet carefully as a small number of streamers are currently playing games on Twitch. While it’s unclear exactly how these people got their copies, they weren’t shy about letting people know about their early access.
We won’t be linking directly to these streams, but there are currently a handful of them being streamed under the official Arceus tag on Twitch. Although there are only about 1,000 viewers currently, most of the game’s early days are being shown.
It’s a pretty dangerous game to play, considering Nintendo’s history of punishing leakers. In the past, the company has ordered those responsible for early distribution of information about their Pokemon Sword and Shield to pay $150,000 in damages, as reported by Eurogamer last June.
Considering the effort Nintendo will be making in tracking down leakers of game footage before its official release, you have to wonder what actions the company will take when footage of one of the games is released. Their biggest in 2022 was released.
That being said, these streams have been live for over 12 hours at the time of writing and they are still going on seemingly without any worries. We’ll have to wait and see if these Arceus streams continue to appear as we get closer to the Pokemon Legends: Arceus release date on January 28.
