Warning to all Android owners – a simple trick can save you from major dangers

GOOGLE has a clever feature that can help keep your other valuable devices extremely secure.

It has everything to do with your phone’s built-in security key, which checks if it’s physically near your laptop or other device.

All of this is made possible by Bluetooth

All of this is made possible by Bluetooth

This is done via Bluetooth.

So when someone tries to log into your account, Google will check if there’s a Bluetooth signal between that device and your phone’s built-in security key.

That means even if a hacker gets your password, you can lock it.

It works with all recent versions of Chrome OS, iOS, macOS and Windows.

To set it up, you first need to either enable 2-Step Verification.

You can do this by opening your Google account and going to Security.

Look for 2-Step Verification and select Get Started.

Then scroll to Security Key and tap the right arrow.

You will find below on the left Add security key.

Select your Android smartphone and then Add.

Make sure Bluetooth is turned on to take advantage of your computer.

Sign in to your Google Account on a computer or Chromebook using a supported browser, such as Chrome.

On an iPhone or iPad, sign in to your Google account with Smart Lock app.

Look for a notification on your phone.

Double-tap “Trying to sign in?” Notification.

Follow the prompts to confirm you’re signing in.
