Warning to all parents with an iPhone – check your settings now

Parents don’t have to bite their nails when passing their Apple device to their kids.
Apple created a special set of settings to allay worries about kids accessing inappropriate content or accidentally spending a small fortune on the App Store.
Whether iPhone or iPad, children do not need to have full control over the device.
Parents can customize their settings to avoid unwanted activity.
You can set time limits for specific apps, filter web browsing, and set purchase limits for App Store and in-app purchases.
If a child is lucky enough to have their own Apple device, parents can essentially control a child’s Apple device usage through their own.
This is done by setting up the Family Sharing feature.
The Family Sharing feature allows up to six family members with Apple devices to share access to various Apple services, such as B. An Apple Music plan.
When a child account is added to the Family Sharing group by an adult family member, Apple gives carers a number of options.
This includes age-appropriate content restrictions, limiting the ability to communicate with others, your permission to purchase or download content to their devices, and scheduled screen downtime and app time limits.
To set up Family Sharing, go to settings > iCloud > Set up Family Sharing > Getting started.
If parents want to limit or extend screen time, open settings > screen time > family > Select child’s name > Turn on Screen Time.
Parents can then select downtime, app limits, and content and privacy pages, and customize the parameters for each one.
Click Use Screen Time Passcode and follow the on-screen instructions.
This means children must enter a caregiver-chosen password to avoid downtime.
