Warning to stay away from Seaford Head and Hope Gap after cliff fall

A WARNING has been issued after a large rockfall that has likely weakened a rock face.

East Sussex County Council has warned people to stay away from the cliff at Seaford Head and Hope Gap.

The cliff fall has created a depression of about 15 to 18 feet.

A spokesman for the council said: “There has been a cliff fall between Seaford Head and Hope Gap which has created a depression of around 15 to 18 feet.

“The chalk above could fall off at any moment.

“Please stay clear of the cliff edge and the base of the cliffs.”
