Tens of thousands of revelers will return to Glasgow Green on Sunday as Lewis Capaldi prepares to cover the final day of Trnsmt.
Festival-goers are being warned by ScotRail bosses that if they stay to see the Scottish singer-songwriter’s finale, they won’t be able to take the train home.
On the main stage, Wolf Alice, Sigrid and DMA’s were among a number of pieces set to perform before the Someone You Love singer wrapped up the three-day festival, with a curfew set to 11p.m.
But Phil Campbell, ScotRail’s head of customer operations, said: “Customers arriving in Trnsmt on Sunday should be aware that there will be no trains after the event, so please check out their full itinerary. you and know what alternative means of transport are available”.
A pay dispute between ScotRail, the company that was accredited in April, and union Aslef has seen ScotRail put in place an interim timetable – a move that has resulted in hundreds of services being cancelled. Train drivers refuse to work overtime and on their days off.
The union accepted a recent pay offer of a 5% raise and it will be given to their members for approval on July 1.
On Saturday, festivalgoers said they had to queue for hours in the 20°C heat, forcing organizers to hand out water to frustrated music fans.
Writing on social media, some said they waited about two to three hours, with many worried they would miss the band they wanted to see.
