Annabelle Davis, daughter of actors Warwick and Samantha Davis, will join the cast of Hollyoaks early next year.
The 25-year-old actress will play Lacey – a “motivational, outspoken and humorous” assistant attorney – in the Channel 4 drama.
Lacey will enter the village with her influential best friend Rayne, played by Jemma Donovan.
The couple will move in with Romeo – played by I’m A Celebrity star Owen Warner – Prince (Malique Thompson Dwyer) and Nadira (Ashling O’Shea).
Hollyoaks said Lacey’s character will be “intensely loyal and a great friend bringing calm and common sense, while best friend Rayne brings chaos”.
Once settled, she will interview for a position at Dee Valley Law and will be under the close supervision of attorney James Nightingale.
Davis said: “I’m so glad you got to meet Lacey! She is fun, career oriented, trained to be a lawyer and is currently looking for work. She understood.
“I had a great time filming with the Hollyoaks gang and looking forward to what Lacey will do.”
Actress best known for her roles as Sasha Bellman in the children’s television series The Dumping Ground and Mims Ufgood in the new fantasy series Willow.
Davis is also an ambassador for the charity Little People UK, which was co-founded by her parents.
Hollyoaks airs every weeknight at 6:30pm on Channel 4 and 7pm on E4.
