GTA 5 coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S tomorrow and bringing a whole new brand there is hope graphics options with it. Players who want to see Los Santos in a whole new light will be able to toggle this option in-game, allowing for some pretty stunning visuals even in a game that’s almost a decade old.
If you want a glimpse of this ray tracing in action, we have a short 10-minute video embedded above that shows the feature in a range of weathers. Whether it’s a light drizzle, a sunny day with wet roads, or a downpour, the impact of ray tracing is everywhere.
If ray tracing isn’t your thing, GTA 5 comes with three overall graphics settings that are sure to have something you like, possibly a fidelity mode that makes the game look as good as possible with its 30FPS limit. or performance mode that locks FPS at 60 for smoother gameplay.
This new version of GTA 5 and all its new stunning graphics features don’t increase the file size too much either, only 11GB compared to the PS4 and Xbox One versions. Good news for those who are dreading having to clear out the storage space on their dashboard in preparation for the move to ports.
If all of this sounds great, you can buy and pre-load GTA 5 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S right now for a reduced price. However, this only lasts until June 14, so you’ll have to decide whether or not to get in early.
