Watch a BMW driver speed 115 mph in a zone 30 – dashcam footage earns him an 18-month driving ban and an electronic badge

A BMW driver was caught overtaking another car on a public road at up to 200 km/h.
The insane speed was caught by another car’s dash cam and resulted in the BMW driver being banned from driving.
Father-of-two Wayne Sayce, 38, ignored the rules of the road to overtake other drivers at nearly four times the speed limit in a built-up area.
Other motorists were so shocked by Sayce’s violation of the limit that they turned the dashcam footage over to the police.

Traffic safety experts calculated the speed from the footage and found he was driving at 115mph – but could have been going over 75mph.
A spokesman for road policing partnership GoSafe said: “The driver of a BMW 5 Series was spotted overtaking at high speed on the Phoenix Way in Swansea.
“The vehicle he overtook had a dashcam fitted and sent the footage to GoSafe’s Operation Snap.
“GoSafe worked with Road Safety Support to calculate the speed of the BMW, which showed it was traveling at 185 km/h plus or minus 9 km/h.
“Investigations identified the driver as Wayne Sayce, a 38-year-old man from the Swansea area.
“Due to the speed of the crime, no education course or fine was offered in this case. Mr. Sayce was summoned to appear in court instead.”
Swansea rugby coach Sayce pleaded guilty to dangerous driving in Swansea Magistrates Court.
He received a 12-week suspended sentence and an 18-month driving ban, as well as an electronic badge.
The court heard he must take an extended retest before he can regain his license.
