Mayo footballer Rob Hennelly and his new wife Orla O’Brien have shared pictures of their wedding, which took place over the weekend.
The couple were married at St Anne’s Church in Shankhill on Friday and spent the evening celebrating with family and friends at Wicklow’s Powerscourt Hotel.
The already idyllic setting was even more spectacular that day thanks to the snowfall on Thursday evening.
Ms O’Brien, who is from Kildare, works as a fashion buyer and documented the special occasion on her Instagram account.
The couple have been together for nine years and got engaged over Christmas 2020. They met while studying at DCU.
Goalkeeper Hennelly is a club-mate of Mayo midfielder Aidan O’Shea and O’Shea shared a youthful picture of the Breaffy men ahead of the big day.
“The big day has come… Looking forward to seeing my husband @robhennelly with @orlalorenza today,” he wrote.
Other well-known figures attended the wedding, including former Roscommon footballer and fashion designer Neil Patrick Collins. who served as best man, and Instagram influencer Rob Lipsett.
