I don’t know if it’s because of the roads I’ve been driving on lately, but there seem to be a large number of wider vehicles.
not only tractors and trucks, but also caravans and the like.
I mention this because it’s easy to get frustrated when you can’t overtake, become pushy and lose your cool.
I encountered some hair-raising examples on a recent trip that included some narrow passages.
Worst of all was how other drivers followed the overtaking vehicle.
This is a real recipe for disaster.
A few minutes added to your travel time is a small price to pay for a safe arrival.
For the same reason, on a really narrow road, drivers showed remarkable manners when they stopped to let us pass safely.
They are the law-abiding majority from whom the overtaking minority should learn a potentially life-saving lesson.
