PEOPLE have the opportunity to see a re-enactment of one of the most famous battles in English history.
Tickets to a re-enactment of the Battle of Hastings on October 15th and 16th at the site where King Harold and Duke William fought in 1066 are on sale now.
Hundreds of soldiers will re-enact the drama of the decisive battle that decided the fate of England almost a thousand years ago.
There is also an opportunity to watch falconers and their birds of prey while spectators can stroll through the newly refurbished medieval market.
Rebecca Hornby, Events Delivery Manager at English Heritage, said: “The Battle of Hastings is one of the largest re-enacting events in the country and also recreates one of the most defining battles in English history.
“But not only that, visitors can really immerse themselves in Norman and Saxon life by exploring the camps and meeting soldiers from both sides before the battle.
“We can’t wait to welcome everyone to this year’s event and give them a spectacular show.”
This year there will also be a comedy show where you can meet some of the historical figures from the famous battle of 1066.
There will also be archery, sword courses and live music throughout the day.
