Watch the shocking moment Tesla loses control and flies through the side of a building

A SHOCKING CCTV video has been released showing a Tesla crashing through the glass wall of a convention center.

The video shows the brutal force with which the car hit the building, smashing through the glass and finally pointing backwards inside.

As The Columbus Dispatch reports, the Tesla Model 3 hit the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Ohio at around 110 km/h.

“It is a miracle that no one was seriously injured or killed when the vehicle ran a red light around midday on a weekday as pedestrians, cars and buses crossed the High Street nearby.”

The driver subsequently told police that the Tesla had lost braking ability and would not stop, causing the incident.

But as the footage continues, an interior shot shows how close the crash came to an even more serious situation.

The Dispatch continued: “Had it not been for the fact that the car had been rammed into a steel pillar in the convention center after plowing through a glass wall, it might have driven through the interior of the facility, which was hosting several events at the time, including a girls’ Junior Volleyball Championship.’

The video clearly shows the Tesla hitting a pillar inside, making a dent in it and spinning around.

Adults and children can be seen in the background running to see what caused the loud noise.

A police report doesn’t mention whether Tesla’s semi-autonomous Autopilot technology was active during the crash
