Watches stolen from Lewes shop – police are looking for witnesses

Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary after several high-end Omega watches were stolen.

Officers were called to the Cliffe Antique Center in Cliffe High Street, Lewes at around 3.25am on Sunday 4 December.

A set of antique Omega watches worth £17,000 had been stolen.

A 57-year-old man and a 32-year-old man from Lewes have been arrested on suspicion of burglary. Both were released on bail until March 4.

Detective Inspector George Shannon said: “We’d really like to hear from anyone who has CCTV or doorbell footage, particularly anyone who lives on Cliffe High Street and adjacent Malling Street.”
