Wayne Rooney and wife Coleen have been spotted in the town of Ibiza enjoying more sunshine just weeks after arriving in Dubai for a family holiday as they await the verdict of Wagatha Christie’s defamation trial

Wayne Rooney blushed after sunbathing in Ibiza as he stepped out with his wife Coleen for an evening with friends – as they awaited the verdict of the so-called Wagatha Christie smear trial.

The wet-footed power couple stepped into a waiting taxi when Wayne appeared casually dressed in a white t-shirt, blue shorts and a white cap to block out the last of the evening sunlight.

Coleen continued the vibe in her outfit but showed off her sun-kissed skin in a pair of high-waisted white denim shorts paired with a leopard print bra, shoulder bag, and opted to go barefoot.

In one of the scenes, the former England star can be seen animated with his arm outstretched next to the taxi as the group decides on their destination.

The Rooneys went out and dined in the port of Ibiza on Sunday night, where they were joined by footballers Alex Bruce and Michael Carrick as well as their partners.

The evening appeared an adult just hanging out when Rooney’s four sons Kai, 12, Klay, nine, Kit, six, and Cass, four, did not join them.

The trip was their second overseas since the high-profile trial known as the Wagatha Christie trial, after the case was closed and they missed the final day of the hearing to fly to Dubai for the holiday. family.

The mother-of-four is currently awaiting the verdict of the highly publicized seven-day trial, which ended after lawyers released a closing statement at the Royal Courts of Justice on Thursday 19 May.

The case revolved around the Instagram account of football player Rebekah Vardy’s wife, after Coleen alleged the account was involved in fake stories about her being revealed to the press in October 2019, in a famous Instagram posts.

Meanwhile, back home, Wayne confesses that he’s very proud of his son Kai, who seems to be following in his steadfast father’s footsteps and continuing to hit goalscoring form for next season.

Kai, 12 years old, signed for Manchester United under-12 football team amid much fanfare back in December 2020.

Following the club’s announcement that Kai had joined the ranks, Wayne stated, “I am a proud father.”
