Before playing against Manchester on Wednesday night, The Lumineers reminisced about their last visit to the city.
The band spent a night of booze with England and Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney.
“We got to spend time with Rooney and he sang Slow It Down with us in a pub, we closed a pub!” The Lumineers co-founder Wesley Shultz said.
“We had a great time hanging out with him in the pub.”
The band were in great form as they played Dublin’s 3Arena in front of a sold-out crowd of up to 13,000 copies, on Sunday night.

While the band’s soaring folk music might be better suited to more intimate venues, they absolutely took the larger space – complete with 13,000 fans – and made it their home. .
Along with their universally beloved hits like Ho Hey, Ophelia and Cleopatra, plenty of new material from their critically-acclaimed new album BRIGHTSIDE has also taken by storm, including the title track. .
The show looked stunning, too, with the stage design and lighting elevating an already existing electric performance.
