As an electrician, I make a decent amount of money but I am stressed about how to find the cash for a larger ring, as well as finance the wedding she is promoting.
I am 28 years old and she is 25 years old.
I started to worry that I wouldn’t be able to afford everything she asked for – 150 guests, front desk at a top hotel and designer clothes.
I don’t want to start my married life in heavy debt.

DEIDRE SAYS: Your girlfriend sounds pretty immature and very materialistic. It’s not fair that she expects a ring and the wedding is beyond your means.
Sit with her and review your budget and work back from there. If she continues to pressure you in this way, explain how your relationship and mental health will be affected. Does she really want that?
I am sending you my package of support to stand up for yourself, which will help you to stand firm.
