THE Happy Pear says traveling alone has turned them from “unruly heads” to vegans who love yoga.
Two identical brothers, Dave and Steve Flynn, are known for their active lifestyles and delicious plant-based food.
But they say when they were young they were very different.
Dave says: “The biggest education for us was never school, never university, but always travel because it forces you out of your comfort zone, you become an idea. much more aware of who we are and we certainly have found in our own experience.
“When we left at 20, like identical twins, we lived in each other’s pockets, we actually sat next to each other, our identities were the Flynn Twins, ‘who are you? is probably the name we are called the most.’
‘SAME NEW IDENTITY’
So he says that traveling apart gives them a chance to reinvent themselves, but they quickly realize that they’ve both found the same new identity.
He told Happy Place Podcast: “Traveling is the first step for me to become who I am and what do I care about?

“Our reality is we’re left with these two, we’re semi-pro rugby players, we play scratch golf, we’ve modeled, we’ve got degrees in the business. business, so we pushed ourselves to try to achieve, complete, do.
“We are busy, we are very productive and we are overworked. We went out as these meatheads who drank loads of beer and ate loads of burgers, we’re sassy.
“Then we went on a private trip and we never thought what happened, but two years later we came back and went vegan, did yoga, grew our hair long, grew beard, and wore plaid pants.
“We wanted to start a vegetable shop, we swam in the sea.”
Last September, David Flynn got married with her partner, Sabrina Vande Cotte.
The Irish chef celebrated his wedding anniversary with all of his family and friends at a beautiful outdoor ceremony in Greystones.
