Sunday will be a cloudy day with fairly dry weather and some showers.

Towards evening rain sets in in the north and north-west, spreading to the south-east in the evening and night with fresh, gusty westerly winds.

“Monday will be cool and windy with light or sunny spells and only well-scattered showers,” said the national meteorologist.

“Maximum temperatures of 12°C to 16°C with moderate to brisk, gusty north-west winds.

Tuesday will start mostly dry with rain spreading east through the morning and early afternoon.

It will continue throughout the evening and will be intense at times, particularly in Ulster.
