All eyes will be on the new strikers when West Ham United host Manchester City on Sunday.

Gianluca Scamacca and Erling Haaland should both make their Premier League debuts at some point, although at least one could be off the bench.

City will be looking to retain their title after beating Liverpool last year, while the Hammers secured a top-7 finish and the same will be the goal again, along with participation in the Europa Conference League.

A disappointment for David Moyes and company is the injury of Nayef Aguerd shortly after he made a big deal from Rennes.

The game begins at 4:30pm BST on Sunday 7th August at the London Stadium.

What’s new from the team?

New Hammer’s new signing Nayef Aguerd is out injured after picking up an ankle problem last season. That limits David Moyes’ options in defense as Issa Diop looks for an exit. Gianluca Scamacca is the big new signing in attack but he could be on the bench for this game.

Man City included new striker Erling Haaland in the Community Shield from the start but he failed to find form on the occasion. Aymeric Laporte is out injured in the first few games of the season while fellow defender John Stones is a question. Nathan Ake was able to start as a result.
