An INDEPENDENT bar association has celebrated its 35th anniversary.
Westgate Chambers marked the milestone with an event at Brighton’s Royal Pavilion.
Located in Pavilion Parade, Brighton, members of the chambers and their administrative team were joined by judges, solicitors and other local dignitaries to celebrate the history of Westgate but also the life of its founder, John Collins.
Addressing guests, Chamber Director Richard Barton said: “Westgate is a home for everyone, regardless of race, sexual orientation or religion.
“We welcome everyone and support diversity. That was the message from our founder, John Collins, and it still applies today.
“Westgate Chambers continues to grow and we look forward to supporting the legal community and the people of the South Coast over the next 35 years.”
The event brought together a variety of local and national law firms and at the end of the evening, senior executive Sean Gould said: “It has been lovely to have so many of our new and existing valued clients here with our members and team of staff to celebrate one such a significant milestone.
“While it would have been fantastic to have our founder John Collins with us as well, it was fitting that his daughter, family solicitor Aisling Collins, was able to join us so that our guests could show their appreciation for what her father had achieved .”
