WESTLIFE stars Nicky Byrne, Doireann Garrihy and Roz Purcell are among the Irish celebrities today enjoying their freedom.
All Covid-19 measures are raised from 6 am This morning, entertainment is back to normal and unrestricted for attendees at sporting and arts events.
On his Instagram, Nicky shared his joy as he posted a photo of the sunrise.
The singer said he looks forward to “no more zooming in or discussing vaccinations” and returning to have live conversations and celebrations.
Nicky is also excited about “real, right hugs” and “real handshakes”.
He captioned the snap: “After two long years, it finally feels like the rest of our lives can begin. Normal is about to be resumed.
“No more certificates, no more ruined Christmases, no more birthday cake drops at the gate, no more kissing from afar, no more window conversations, no more home school, no more coffee in the house. wind and rain, no more discussions about vaccinations, no more divisions, and… .no more gory zooms!
“St Patrick’s Day, nightclubs, sports, concerts, restaurants, pubs, real handshakes not elbow bumps or punches… hugs .. hugs are really appropriate.

The Dancing With The Stars host continued: “Some didn’t hold their hand in their final moments. Some didn’t get the final ending they all deserved and grief takes a lot. Some will never end .

Influencer Roz Purcell said she’s “thrilled” as Ireland reopens.
She wrote: “I don’t know why but I feel nervous. I’m so excited I’m on a date and I don’t know what to wear.
“May business return to normal(ish)”.
‘ALL LOOK UP’
Ireland’s Fittest Family host Mairead Ronan shared a Taoiseach Michael Martin moment as she watched the announcement last night.
Mairead was out on a date night, enjoying a glass of red wine while her partner enjoyed a pint of Guinness.
She said: “When date night turns into a GREAT night. See yiz all in Coppers #stillwearamask”.
RTE star Doireann Garrihy also welcomed the news, as she shared a stunning moment when she ate al fresco.
Holding a glass of Prosco in hand, Doireann said: “All beautiful girls #freedomisnigh”.
Ailbhe Garrihy shared an adorable moment playing with her son Sean at home as they celebrate the end of restrictions.
And Virgin Media’s Muireann O’Connell went straight to her friend’s newborn baby.
Sharing a sweet snap, Muireann said: “Restrictions were lifted and most people were thrown into pubs.
“Prior to lockdown, @vu_madida will be locked until 6am. It’s safe to say things have changed.”
