Upcoming British indie rock duo Wet Leg have earned a spot alongside Harry Styles and Beyonce on former president Barack Obama’s annual summer playlist.
bama, 60, revealed her highly-anticipated 22 track list, which includes classics as well as songs by new artists, in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
“Every year, I’m excited to share my summer playlists because I learn so many new artists from your answers—it’s an example of how music can really bring them all. we are together,” he captioned the post.
Topping the former president’s summer picks list is Beyonce’s newly released Break My Soul.
Music For A Sushi Restaurant, from Harry Styles’ third solo track, Harry’s House, is right below the list – following the announcement that it was shortlisted for this year’s Mercury Awards.
Mercury Prize nominee Wet Leg also made the list, with their track Angelica.
The duo has achieved much success after making the BBC’s Sound of 2022 list.
Obama also picked up modern hits including Tems’ Vibe Out, Burna Boy’s Last Last, and Bad Bunny & Bomba Estereo’s Ojitos Lindos.
The former president also mingled with classic songs by late and great artists including Miles Davis’ Blue In Green, Aretha Franklin’s Save Me and Prince’s Let’s Go Crazy.
