Easter is just around the corner! Or egg day. Whatever you want to call it. Really, it’s just an excuse to eat chocolate and play video games, right? Did you check out our Indie Spotlight earlier in the week? Well, we’ll give you another chance below. After last week zelda Bomb, otherwise it was a little quieter. Nintendo has announced that the Switch Online Expansion Pass will tee off next week with Mario Golf. Did you notice that Nintendo is also reprinting some 3DS games? And if our review is anything to go by, we think LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga might just be the best LEGO game ever made.

Now it’s time to chill and discuss our game plans for the weekend. A few MMembers of the Nintendo Life team have done just that below, so don’t hesitate to read our posts and then join in with your own via our comments section. Enjoy!

Baseball season has started, so it’s basically another Christmas for me. I’ll probably do Road to the Show on MLB The Show 22 on Switch during the many commercial breaks watching the Cubs; it’s perfect for that!

When I’m not obsessing over baseball, I’ll keep playing Triangle Strategy, which has been fantastic. I also have to finish Kirby and the Forgotten Land so overall it’s going to be a great gaming weekend.

This weekend, following the great announcement of a brand new Monkey Island game, I’m going to dive into some of the best point-and-click games for the Switch. I started with Thimbleweed Park and will move on to The Darkside Detective and its sequel when I’m done. I am confident that we will see the classic monkey island Title on Switch ahead of sequel, but who knows? A man can dream…

Otherwise I don’t have much else this weekend. I jacked into Halo Infinite on Legendary difficulty, but it took a few weeks after one of the boss fights drained me of the experience. I might get back into it if I find myself on a loose end.

This weekend I’m going to watch my partner play more Skyward Sword (maybe we’re nearing the end? Hard to say) and play a little more Kirby and the Forgotten Land. I also bought a lot of DS games after the 3DS eShop closed, so I should probably try those too. And maybe some AI: The Somnium Files which I started the other day…it’s going to be a busy gaming weekend!

After a little downtime to visit my partner, I have a lot to report and play this weekend. We’ve taken Kirby and the Lost Land and played through most of it in co-op, and it’s a total delight. Now I have the arduous task of actually completing the game and 100%-ing it alone. Shouldn’t be too difficult! As long as I can detach myself from the gachapon machines long enough. We ended up playing through Deltarune Chapter 2 as well. I’m a huge Undertale fan and I loved Chapter 1, but I think Chapter 2 is the best Toby Fox we’ve seen.

Looking ahead to this weekend, other than Kirby, it’s time for Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition. Or more precisely Radical Dreamers. I’ve played chrono cross before, but the text adventure is totally new for me and for many others, i.e. me to have to see how it adds to the lore of the series.

My game plans for this weekend: I will continue my journey as a monster hunter in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and play through LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga with my fiancee.

I’m still trying to find time to beat Kirby and the Forgotten Land, but something keeps getting in my way. Maybe I can tackle the Winter Horns this weekend?

There were several silent beauties on the eShop last week that I plan to try further this weekend. Ultionus: A Tale of Petty Revenge is the spiritual sequel to a ZX Spectrum game I used to play while Agent Intercept makes your wildest Spy Hunter fantasies come true. But if you like Contra/Probotector (and of course you do), the real highlight is Super Cyborg, the biggest NES Contra game Konami has ever made.

Game of the week is LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Nostalgia is a powerful feeling, so when you mix LEGO slapstick humor with a war from a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, I can assure you I’ll be playing this longer than Triangle Strategy.

This weekend I’m looking forward to spending some time in Triangle Strategy, Kirby and the Forgotten Land and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. I’ve been very busy in my personal life lately, so this will be the first weekend in a long time that I’ll have a chance to sit down and get the toys done. We’re looking forward to some beautiful artwork and hilarious dialogue – should be a good time!

As always, thanks for reading! Leave us a comment below with your game plans for the weekend!
