Another week has come and gone, and it’s been one of those weird “busy but not that We’ve seen some new footage from Sonic Origins and it looks delicious. An HD texture pack has been revealed for Mario Kart 64 and we’ve discovered another crazy Breath of the Wild trick where you can take your horse up Death Mountain!

In terms of this week’s features, our beloved Tom took a look at Nintendo’s extraordinary first-party flow in an age of seemingly endless delays, Kate spoke to Aggro Crab about her latest Krabbastic title, Another Crab’s Treasure, and yours did really kudos to Thumper for their fifth anniversary on Switch.

Now it’s time to chill and discuss our game plans for the weekend. A few MMembers of the Nintendo Life team have done just that below, so don’t hesitate to read our posts and then join in with your own via our comments section. Enjoy!

I’ll be playing more Citizen Sleeper this weekend! I was just really getting started before I got sucked into other stuff, but I’m loving what I’ve played so far. I haven’t played much else like it and the writing is really fantastic. I think this is going to be one of my favorites of the year.

I also started Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth and holy moly this is some of the best looking pixel art I’ve seen. I like watching speedrun events and I especially love Metroidvania exhibits, so I’ve seen this in motion a few times. But seeing it on your own TV is something else. It’s definitely a symphony of the night Clone with more focus on elements, but that’s okay – I adore Symphony of the Night, and if that’s even half as good then it’s a winner. Enjoy your weekend folks!

On Switch, I’m currently blasting through Metroid Dread in “Hard” mode, which was a lot of fun. I’m also considering getting Chinatown Detective Agency to get out of my comfort zone and try different games each month. I’ve gradually gotten into more “detective” games, so it seems like a good candidate.

Elsewhere I still enjoy it Yakuza: Like a dragonand have started Hike to Yomi. As for the latter, I’m a bit undecided as to whether I how the actual gameplay, but it certainly has a lot of storytelling style.

Oh man, I don’t even know what I want to play this weekend. I’m in one of those “can’t really commit to a game” mood, so I’m probably more likely to spend my time reading or digging up a horrible horror movie on Shudder. That being said, I’m dipping in and out of DOOM Eternal so I may ramp that up eventually.

I’m currently replaying it on other platforms Silent Hill 2 after all the chatter about new titles from Konami. Yes, it’s the HD Collection version, and yes, it’s a terrible remaster – but it’s better than no Silent Hill 2.

This week I’m totally into the roguelike and roguelite kick. I’ve played a lot of Slay The Spire and got heart beating with everyone but The Watcher and now I’m watching Dead Cells to see if it tickles the same dopamine gland. And yes, I will also play EarthBound. And maybe try one of the 3DS games I bought before the eShop closure?

Even in non-Nintendo messages, me and my partner still play through elden ring. We’ve gotten to a point where we don’t really understand what’s going on, but every once in a while we have to fight a weird looking guy or talk to a sad woman, and isn’t that what Souls games are about goes?

I’m currently playing through the second DLC for The Witcher 3. I’ve put over 200 hours into this game and the thought of playing through the final chapter is a bit emotional. The DLCs so far have been AMAZING and are just a statement of how all DLCs should be done!

Hi. This weekend I’ll be diving headlong into Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition in preparation for the release of Part 3, which is so close now that I’m starting to have trouble sleeping. I’ve played through both 1 and 2 before, but it’s been a long time, especially considering the first one I was able to complete in Freshman week, so I’m looking forward to getting to know the gang again over the next few weeks.

Elsewhere, I’ll also take a little time to continue my adventures through the excellent Splatoon 2 Octo expansion and help my kids on their current journey through Dragon Quest Builders 2, which they suddenly think is the best thing since sliced bread. Have a nice weekend!

Storing my A500 Mini away after many heavy weekends Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe. I regret to say that I lost the Premier League championship by a meager 19 points. Exciting package from the east SaGa Scarlet, Persona 4 Arena Ultimate and last but certainly not least, the Brilliant Pocky & Rocky reshrined in my hands Two cool eShop releases have also been included in this weekend schedule: They always run and DEADCRAFT. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga continues with Episode VIII.

Game of the week is… shocking and for the first time not a game at all but a joypad! I officially declare the Dark Age of Drift over, I got myself a GuliKit KingKong2 Pro Controller and now I can aim properly Valkyria Chronicles.

As always, thanks for reading! Leave us a comment below with your game plans for the weekend!
