What does UAP mean and how is it different from a UFO?

THE The term UFO is officially “old school” and has received a more formal sounding rebrand.
UAP is the new term intended to shake off some of the stigma surrounding the word UFO.
What does UAP mean?
UAP stands for Unidentified Aerial Phenomena.
UFO stands for “Unidentified Flying Object”.
Many experts in the field noted that UFOs were ridiculed and reports disregarded.
UAP is believed to be a more professional term and is becoming more common as the US begins to seriously discuss UFO/UAP sightings.
The United States Office of Naval Intelligence now has a UAPTF (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force) program.
It collects reported sightings of mysterious flying objects.
UAP does not necessarily have to refer to a suspected “alien spacecraft” sighting.
Some people think that using the term UAP leads to sightings being taken more seriously.
It is believed that over 90% of UFO sightings have a reasonable explanation
However, recent footage released by the Pentagon of strange flying objects still confuses experts.
Fermi paradox – what is it?
Here’s what you need to know…
- The Fermi Paradox isn’t rigorous evidence for extraterrestrial life — it’s more of a thought experiment
- This is a famous contradiction by the physicist Enrico Fermi
- Fermi suggested that the enormous size of the universe – and the billions of sun-like stars in the galaxy and its planets – makes it very likely that there is intelligent life out there
- Some of these civilizations may have developed interstellar travel
- But Fermi also noted that there is a significant lack of evidence for life on other planets
- The probability that aliens can reach us is high, but there is no evidence that aliens ever did
- This paradox has puzzled scientists for decades
In other space news, the European Space Agency has announced that it will be sending a probe called EnVision to study the planet Venus.
Scientist Brian Cox believes there could be 200 billion extraterrestrial civilizations in the universe.
And the world’s first reality show filmed in space will take a contestant on a 10-day journey to the ISS in 2023.
