A 50-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping after a woman went missing in Lancashire last week.
Katie Kenyon, 33, has been reported missing after she was last seen “leaving an address on Todmorden Road in Burnley with a man on Friday morning” and getting into a silver Ford Transit. Sky news reported. Police said the vehicle, registration MT57 FLC, had entered the Bolton by Bowland area of north Lancashire.
In a Facebook post, the missing woman’s sister, Sarah Kenyon, wrote: “It’s a waiting game now, we’ve done everything we can, searched everywhere, contacted everyone.” She added, “This breaks us all.”
Detective Chief Inspector Al Davies, of Lancashire Police’s main investigative team, said that “Katie’s disappearance is atypical” and that police are “doing everything in their power to find her”.
A Burnley man had been arrested in connection with the investigation, but “I’m very open about what happened,” Davies said. He added: “I would urge anyone with information, however insignificant, to come forward and contact us.”
Investigators are urging anyone who may have seen Kenyon “or who has dashcam footage of a pickup truck matching the description of the Ford Transit” to come forward, he said ITV News.
The missing woman is white, 5ft 9in, with shoulder length blonde hair. She was wearing a blue cardigan, light blue and white top, black leggings and flip flops when she was last seen.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or contact police through Public portal for serious incidents. Alternatively, you can reach out to an independent charity crime fighter online or on 0800 555 111.
