What is the Bard chatbot and how do I use it?

THE AI chatbot scene is heating up after Google revealed details about a ChatGPT competitor.

ChatGPT has taken the world by storm for its clever ability to have natural conversations and write near-perfect speeches, songs, and essays.

Google is reportedly troubled by the rapid rise and public breakthrough that ChatGPT has achieved.

Additionally, Microsoft — a strong investor in the project — now seems poised to integrate it with Bing.

What is bard?

Bard is the name of Google’s AI chatbot.

It will rely on Google’s own conversation tool called Lamda.

But crucially, it uses Google’s search engine to get the information it needs to craft answers – which could be a huge benefit.

How do I use bard?

Bard has not yet been released.

However, Google is expected to reveal details about it at a major event in Paris on February 8th.

The tech company has already said that a select group of testers will be able to use it first.

Then it will be “made accessible to a wider public in the coming weeks”.

Is Bard free to use?

Bard will be free for users.

However, it apparently costs the company a few cents every time someone tries it.

According to Google CEO Sundar Pichai Bard, “Strives to combine the breadth of the world’s knowledge with the power, intelligence and creativity of our large language models”.

“Soon you’ll see AI-powered features in search that distill complex information and multiple perspectives into easy-to-understand formats so you can quickly see the big picture and learn more from the web.”
