This trend involves adding mustard to an Oreo and eating it, and while it may seem odd to some, a lot of people have tried this weird food combination.
The cookie and spice combination is back in action this year after taking a toll in 2020 after publishing a USA Today Crossword puzzle suggestions.
In the puzzle, the hint for 10 Down is “Cookies that some people eat with mustard” and the only word that makes sense in the crossword is “Oreo.”
Despite the negative reaction of many, many were so interested in the unlikely couple that it started a trend on the popular video-sharing app.

On December 28, 2021, singer Lizzo pulled Oreos and a bottle of yellow mustard in his sleeve and brought it to TikTok to filmed by myself testing the trend.
The famous singer spread a considerable amount of mustard on her Oreo and took a bite with a reserved expression.
She considered the flavor combination with a puzzled expression on her face, then returned for a few seconds without further comment.
Fans were confused as to whether she would like the combination, with one user commenting: “I think she likes it, I’m scared.”
Even the Walmart supermarket joined the conversation, writing: “There will be no life, laughter or love today.”
Do people like Oreos and mustard together?
The reactions to this combination appear to be split.
Brett Murphy, an investigative reporter for the USA Today Network, tweeted e-mail from a reader who wanted to know the specific location of “some people” eating Oreos with mustard, and the story quickly went viral.
The email Murphy posted read: “Oreos and mustard –– Now I can tell you with certainty the experience learned –– it sucks.
“Who exactly Do “some people” eat Oreos with mustard? I want to talk to them. If you could please provide their phone number and home mailing address, I would greatly appreciate it.”
The emailer also requested a $0.14 refund for the four breath mints they had to take to “get the taste out of my mouth”.
Correspondent Ken Armstrong said in a reply to the tweet: “Given the gravity of the offence, his claim of 14 cents seems quite reasonable.”
However, on TikTok, there seem to be a lot of people do enjoy the combination of Oreos and mustard.
