THAT is always a trendy phrase found on the Internet and spread among the social media audience.
Joining the trend of scandals like Hot Girl Summer or Christian Girl Autumn, ‘beautiful girls’ are taking over TikTok.
What is the trend of ‘beautiful girls’ on TikTok?
If you’re a user who flips through TikTok or comes across viral clips, chances are ‘beautiful girls’ have popped up on your screen at some point.
Via acapella audio, TikTokers are posting short videos of themselves engaging in their daily routine.
Sound of the trend includes a female voice chanting: “Splendid pretty girls love soup.”
The audio continued: “The soup girls are the most popular girls in the chicken coup. I love you, you love me, we love ladadeeda soup.”
“Ladadeeda ladadeeda, the soup queen is a soup monster and a soup monster has greens. So eat your soup and stay cool”, the audio ends.
TikTok users adjusted the audio and replaced the soup with whatever activity they were doing in their video post.
Who started the ‘beautiful girls’ trend?
The original TikTok post was created on August 23, 2021, by a user named Serena and her friend Alanna, which Serena posted to her profile under @fishdress.
Serena and Alanna are responsible for the ‘beautiful girls’ video and audio that pop up everywhere on TikTok.
Their clips have earned more than two million views, and their recordings have been used in more than 14,000 related videos.
The platform trending developers put out their own trends following the trends, leading to the gorgeous pretty girls memes taking over social media.
In short, the ‘beautiful girls’ love anything the user desires, mainly the simple things in life including soup.
What do ‘gorgeous pretty girls’ say about their viral memes?
Serena and Alanna, the founders of the ‘beautiful girls’ movement, were interviewed by Rolling Stone in December 2021.
Serena told Rolling Stone: “My friends and I keep saying, like, just saying random things.”
She said: “So when it started to add up a lot, I was like, ‘Why?’ Why do people think this is funny?”
Serena added that the trend became viral because of the need to “identify as hot, or gorgeous, or sexy, not in the form of conceit, but simply to appreciate one’s gorgeous beauty. “
To celebrate their online achievement, Serena and Alanna posted a follow-up in which “stunning gorgeous girls” enjoyed sushi.
