Ahh, can you smell it? It’s the weekend, what better way to enjoy such a pleasant fragrance by playing some games?
We plan to take some time off for the next few days to do normal things but also jump into the virtual world.
Some of us plan on going on thrilling rides with our virtual bikes, cruising around Sparrow, revisiting the classic Final Fantasy title and playing a tenth released game. one has many times. You probably already know what we’re talking about.
Here’s what we’ll be playing this weekend.
Connor Makar, Screenwriter – Destiny 2, King of Fighters 14
I will be back this weekend Fate 2 ahead of the launch of The Witch Queen expansion next month. I have a laundry list, and know I might forget about it if I left it on any longer.
Above all, I will be back King of Fighters 14 here and there. With King of Fighters 15 on the horizon, I’m still trying to get my sanity back before it drops. Will it make me any better? Probably not, but well worth a try!
Dom Peppiatt, Feature Editor – Final Fantasy 13
I was knocked down like a dog over the Christmas holidays due to a particularly virulent attack of the ol’ Covid-19 virus, so I didn’t get to see my family for the duration of the festival. This weekend, they’ll be traveling from the Midlands for a quick test of London life (and a Christmas dinner later in the month). So that doesn’t leave much time for gaming. That said, I made some last minute changes to my plans this weekend.
During my Friday shift today, I downloaded Final Fantasy 13 to my Series X – publish a great work on why we should all try again for Square Enix’s troublesome RPG really inspired me. It made me think about Lightning’s relationship with the rest of the cast and reminded me of the parent/child relationship that lies at the heart of this quirky game. Maybe it’s fitting that I’ll take an hour or two in the Cocoon world to reconnect with my friends, huh?
Stephany Nunneley, News Editor – Skyrim: Anniversary Edition
I don’t really plan to play much this weekend, because I have to go buy some topsoil for my yard. See, the lovely Beagle and German Shepherd decided it was fun to dig holes in the front of the back porch and these holes accumulate water, creating mud, which means my house is full of mud. So I went to buy soil to fill said holes and then toss the big rubber mats I used in my stables in the area to cover the dust until I could buy some seeds. grass seed in spring. The joys of the homeowner, right? Also, I think I’ll play a game on Saturday or Sunday night.
It might be Skyrim: Anniversary Edition because I stopped playing it for a while. I played the Special Edition mainly because all the mods I installed worked. I’m not sure if these same mods will work when it comes to Anniversary Edition, as some haven’t been updated to work with it.
I’ve played Skyrim so many times on both PC and Xbox that it’s pathetic, but I really love the game. I haven’t finished the job yet, despite hundreds and hundreds of hours spent on it, and this is in each playthrough because I choose to do different things every time I start a new character. During this last play with SE, I decided not to join the Dark Brotherhood. This time going out with AE, lucky to cut everyone. I’m not sure what I’m going to do.
Tom Orry, Editor-in-Chief – Descenders
I’m back Descenders. I was frustrated by the near-daily bursts of this downhill bike thrill ride, but the game popped up as one of the monthly rewards challenges on Xbox and now I’m hooked again. suck.
I don’t have much to say about it, other than that it’s still on Game Pass and well worth checking out if you love precision accuracy, controls, tricks, and speed. It looks a bit rough, but it’s a game that favors a sense of speed and rewards for performing stunts.
That’s our gaming plan for the weekend. What do you plan to play? Let us know!
