App investigators have uncovered a number of major changes that are expected to arrive on phones later this year.

What’s coming on WhatsApp?

WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow you to request your data report on desktop.

That means you can access a document from a computer that reveals what WhatsApp knows about you.

There’s a new app footer that explains when chats are end-to-end encrypted.

A WhatsApp Premium plan is in the works that will offer bonus features to business accounts.

WhatsApp is working on a way to silently leave groups so that only admins (and no other members) are notified.

Sharing links in a WhatsApp status creates a “rich preview” instead of just looking like a URL.

WhatsApp is developing a feature that will allow you to view a list of previous participants in a group.

And the app is working to end support for iOS 10 and iOS 11, meaning old iPhone owners will need to update or upgrade.

How to get WhatsApp beta

To download WhatsApp Beta for your smartphone, you need to go to Google Play on your smartphone Android and search for whatsapp.

Scroll down the page until you see “Become a Beta Tester”.

Tap the “I’m in” button, then tap “Join” to confirm.

Now all you have to do is wait for the update to the beta version of the app.

Participating in the WhatsApp beta on iPhone is more difficult and has a limited capacity.
