IPHONE users may soon notice something a little different about WhatsApp.
The Meta-owned app is testing a new feature that will help you see who’s texting faster than ever before.
The moment you receive a notification from someone, you will see the WhatsApp logo and their name.
But all that looks to be about to change.
According to initial tests seen by WABetaInfo, you’ll see the profile picture of the person or group that messaged you.
Apparently it’s only been released to some beta testers running iOS 15 at the moment.
There’s no indication yet whether it will make it to Android.
In fact, it’s so early in its development that WhatsApp may decide not to continue the idea entirely.
If it’s rolling out anytime soon, it will be the first change to hit the app in 2022.
The platform has made a number of changes in recent months.
In December, it finally listened to its fans and added voice message previews.
It also started allowing users to set self-destruct timer for all your chats.
That means all the text will automatically delete after a selected period of time.
Until the new profile photo editor comes out, make sure Install WhatsApp are in the best possible shape for next year.
