WhatsApp makes a big change for millions to protect account from hackers

WHATSAPP increases security to protect users from persistent hackers trying to take over their accounts.
We’ve already learned that the popular app is working on a new login approval feature.
It’s for when someone tries to log into your account from another device.
But in another leaked upcoming update, you might have an extra layer of protection.
If you want to move your WhatsApp account to another device, you need to verify it.
This is usually done with a verification code sent to your phone.
Usually you will receive this via SMS or automatic call.
But acc WABetaInfoWhatsApp is working on a third way.
Apparently the app on your old phone can also generate the 6-digit code.
The function reads: “Enter this verification code on your new phone.
“Please don’t share it with anyone.
“If you didn’t request a code, you can ignore this.”
The security boost isn’t available to everyone just yet.
Only a few beta testers have managed to try it out so far.
As with all early leaks, WhatsApp may decide not to publish it at all, so we’ll have to wait and see.
