At the height of their fame, Little Ant and Dec were in greater demand for the actual version.
Pint size duo has been brought up Takeaway Saturday Night to give us a double laugh and quickly became the highlight of the show.
Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly were joined each week by their diminutive counterparts, who have landed major gigs interviewing big-name Hollywood stars, chart-topping pop sensations and even the Prime Minister.
But a major problem started to develop, which literally meant the youngster was dropped from the show and was eventually replaced by a Little Ant and Dec.
James Pallister and Dylan McKenna-Redshaw are the original young faces of the Geordie duo – and some even think they could take over when the presenters retire.
They wear clothes Price Katie Dressed in a fat suit and cap, Ewan McGregor taught them how to play bagpipes and forced Hugh Grant to wear massive ears.

During a shopping trip with Victoria Beckham, they dared to try to sign their son Brooklyn to their beloved football club Newcastle United.
They then went one step further by trying to trick David Beckham into playing for their home team.
They took a hot bath with Will Smith for jokingly making him wait for more than an hour while they cuddled up in the pool on the eve of the Venice Film Festival.
Other Hollywood stars also blamed the two terrible people, including Angelina Jolieand they started giggling when they met Robert De Niro.
Little Ant and Dec even went to 10 Downing Street to talk politics with the then Prime Minister Tony Blair – and of course they brought the Newcastle United jersey.
Starting in 2003, the couple’s time on the show came to an end after five films, and they returned to their normal lives at school.
When the bosses decided to bring back Little Ant and Dec in 2013, they were replaced with an even younger duo.
They realized that James and Dylan were too old to continue because they were almost 20 years old.
But the main problem is that they are both a lot taller than Ant and Dec, which admittedly doesn’t say much.
Dec admits they are both “six feet” tall and are now shorter than their former counterparts in terms of size.
It’s no surprise that they look so different now that they’ve ditched their signature Ant and Dec hairdo, but they still have the same grin that wows viewers and celebrities alike.
Neither has left the Northeast – with James continuing to work as a car technician for BMW before joining the RAC to help motorists in distress.
While Dylan started his own nutrition business, helping people lose weight, gain muscle and stay active.
Dylan even took a selfie while enjoying a beer with real Ant and Dec during a passionate reunion in 2013.
He said: “It’s nice to see Ant and Dec again. They were shocked to see us, it’s been a few years since we’ve caught up and we’re so much taller!
“It was a really great experience. James and I used to joke around with Ant and Dec. They were great teachers! Looking back, I guess we could have been more naughty and cheeky than they had been. .
“Times have changed. I don’t think I look like a Little Ant now but I really enjoyed the experience and which I will never forget.”
The boys have returned to Saturday Night Takeaway to meet their replacements on the show – with Neil Overend and Haydn Reid taking over as the longtime couple in series 10.
In keeping with tradition, they’ve had some unforgettable encounters with a host of celebrities, including beating Jennifer Lawrence in an arm-wrestling then blindfolding the actress.
The miniature doppelgangers also put football legends Wayne Rooney through his strides on the pitch and had a tea party with Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L Jackson.
They even showed off their unique interviewing style on Boris Johnsonasked him about important topics including not combing his hair, his lack of typical Mayoral attire, and examining his London slang.
Once again, the exact same issue arose as before, and the show bosses decided that the boys had “played out their roles”.
Like their predecessors, they also run the risk of overshadowing the real Ant and Dec in altitude so have to go.
A source told the Daily Star: “Little Ant and Dec have grown into the role, quite literally, and as such will not be returning to the show this year,” a source told the Daily Star.
“Little Dec has the SAT next year and Little Ant will be transferring to high school so it seems like the right time for them to move on and focus on their studies.”
Now, they are required to return for sketches and interviews, but the pair are frequent visitors to the set of Saturday Night Takeaway.
“Sometimes they come down with the family,” Dec said Digital espionage last year.
“They’re going to come see a show every year. But we didn’t see them last year. And we won’t see them this year because we won’t have anyone on set.
“We haven’t seen them for a while. They often come in for a show. That’s what makes us feel really old!”

The duo also admitted that height was an issue with both versions of their diminutive looks.
“The first liters of oil were also huge. They were six feet tall,” added in December.
“We haven’t seen the second Littles in a while. It will be nice to see them when we can get them back on set.”
However, this may not be the last time we see a version of Little Ant and Dec hit the screen as the Geordie duo aren’t opposed to finding more looks at some point in the future. future.
“The good thing is, with something like that, in the future we might want to do it again,” Ant teased last year.
“We can look up two new Liters and redo the item. And we can try again with two new Liters.”
Ant and Dec are back tonight for a brand new movie, but is there a new Little Ant and Dec? There is only one way to find out.
