Maggie Wheeler, who was Chandler Bing’s loud and awkward girlfriend on the hit American sitcom Friends, has enjoyed plenty of success since the show ended in 2004.

OH. Mine. GOD! Did Janice Wheeler ever get tired of making an impression with Janice from Friends?

She is Chandler Bing’s tumultuous love affair on the popular American sitcom Friends, which follows the lives of six friends who live in New York and face life’s ups and downs together.

With the catchphrase ‘Oh My God’, Janice Hosenstein has become a popular character with fans of the show with her loud laugh and somewhat sleazy manner.

She has the third most appearances outside of the main cast on the show, which was filmed between 1994 and 2004.

And the character played by Maggie Wheeler has appeared on at least one episode in each series appearing alongside the core cast of David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt Le Blanc, and Matthew Perry.

Although Janice isn’t exactly the main character, she still plays an important role in the series and often appears in Chandler’s life at the most inopportune times even after their breakup.

She nearly ruined Chandler and Monica’s wedding and almost bought the house next to Chandler and Monica in the suburbs.

Maggie has accomplished a lot since her days on Friends both personally and professionally.

She joined a popular sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond in the mid-1990s and early 2000s, where she played Linda Gruenfelder.

Maggie appeared covered in chocolate and feathers as Camp Marva Junior counselor in Disney’s remake of The Parent Trap.

Since Friends ended, she’s been flooded with work, including roles in How I Met Your Mother, Californication, Hot in Cleveland, ER, and Drake and Josh.

She also guest-starred on the Disney Channel series Shake it Up as Dina’s mother.

She also joined Friends The Reunion last year. Maggie has also had roles in films including Dr Dolittle 3 and The Addams Family and in 2021 appeared in Mark, Mary & Some Other People where she played Lisa.

Her very distinctive voice has been the golden ticket to several voice acting roles, and she played Trinette McGoon in the 11-episode Archer animated series from 2009 to 2017.

As for her off-screen life, Maggie married sculptor Daniel Wheeler in 1990.

Daniel has won awards for his work, which revolves around ritual objects and spaces.

Maggie, 60, told the Jewish Telegraph: “As a couple, we are both involved and invested in creating spaces for people to express themselves. He’s with his art. and me with my music.”

They have two daughters, Gemma and Juno. Maggie is a music lover and helps run the Golden Bridge Community Choir where she lives in Los Angeles.

The actress also travels to universities, communities and schools to teach her in an a cappella vocal workshop called Sing In The Stream.

Maggie previously talked about her distinctive laugh and iconic catchphrase on This Morning in 2016.

“[The laugh] just Janice’s development, the way the screenwriters created the character for me.

“Laughter came naturally to me during my first rehearsal because I needed to find a way to laugh because Matthew Perry is so funny.

“Working with him, I thought this guy would make me laugh on set, I had to prepare myself.

“What am I going to do? So I created Janice’s laugh as a safety measure in case he makes me laugh.”

During an appearance on the US show Access Live in 2016, Maggie talked about life on the set of Friends and how her character developed after her first appearance.

She said, “I’m always a surprise with Friends. They always sneak me in at the last minute. I mean, they opened the door and I think that episode was a huge hit and obviously, Janice made everyone happy. happy, and so they just kept bringing me back. You know, who knows when I start working on the first episode it’ll happen but it’s the greatest luck.”

Maggie was at Friends Reunion last year, where she shared greetings with the main cast and had a sweet hug with Matthew Perry, with whom she played his longtime girlfriend.

Host James Corden’s first question to Maggie was how she made Janice.

She said, “You know, I got the audition faces through my fax machine and it said New Yorkers speak fast, and I thought, [in Janice’s voice] I know her. I just – she lives in me, that’s all. “
