June can be a particularly good time for those not tied to school holidays, as you’re already enjoying the hot and sunny weather in a variety of popular hotspots such as Norway Greece, Portugal, Croatia, Turkey and more.

Plus, there’s the added bonus of avoiding the higher prices and bigger crowds that come with the peak holiday season.

1. Portugal

Portugal has long been a firm favorite with the British those ridiculously beautiful beachesbrilliant hotels and the abundance of bars and restaurants on offer.

Lisbon is great if you’re looking for a city with a lively buzz and brilliant views, while those looking for lazy days at the beach might want to head to the Algarve, known for its beautiful sandy beaches and seaside resorts.

In June, temperatures can hit 28°C in hotspots, which is perfect for those looking to laze by the sea, but you might want to pack a few layers for the evenings, as temperatures can drop to 20°C after sunset.

2. Greece

In June, Spain typically has hot and sunny days (around 32ºC) but cooler evenings, sometimes down to 14ºC, so pack plenty of layers. The chance of a sunny day outweighs the risk of rainy days and with these hot daytime temperatures it can be the ideal weather to make the most of Spain’s best beaches.

4. The Canary Islands

If you’re thinking of a long-haul trip in the summer, it’s worth keeping Mexico on your radar. The weather in June is hot and sunny with average temperatures of around 32°C during the day and 25°C in the evening, allowing you to make the most of the mild temperatures throughout your trip.

Speaking of beaches, Cyprus delivers lots of great beaches which offer sun loungers, golden sandy beaches and swimmable waters. You’ll also find plenty of waterfront restaurants, harbors full of shops and bars, and a wide range of hotels to suit all budgets.

It’s ideal for those looking for a bit of atmosphere because although you’ll avoid the crowds of high season, there’s still plenty of buzz on the island!

Italy offers mild weather in June which can be ideal whether you are planning a city trip to Rome or Pisa or want to explore the colorful towns along the Amalfi Coast.

Expect peaks of 25°C during the day, while it can range from 16-20°C in the evenings.

June can also be a great time to explore places like Lake Como or Lake Garda as the peak summer crowds have not yet arrived, meaning more space to stroll through the quaint villages, explore the hiking trails or even take a boat trip to be enjoyed on these azure waters.

Malta’s weather in June is generally hot and sunny with daily averages of around 28°C during the day.
