The ITV host revealed that he has tested positive for Covid-19 and is in isolation as a result of it.
Where is Phillip Schofield today?
Phillip Schofield is currently at home in isolation after he revealed he had tested positive for Covid-19.
The presenter confirmed that he tested positive on Monday night (January 31) by posting his side flow test results on Instagram,
Phil’s post reads: “Wow b******s,” with a picture of his Covid test, showing two lines.
“Just a little sore throat right now,” he added.
Why is Phillip Schofield not on This Morning?
Although Phillip was unable to leave his home due to quarantine rules, that didn’t stop him from appearing on the weekday show.
He appeared on a video call to say hello to his ITV co-stars and further explain why he was absent from the show.
“There are a few things that let me down. Obviously I’m disappointed not to be there. We’re a bit nervous about Dancing on Ice because I’ll be taking a break from Dancing on Ice on Sunday.
“Then I’ll miss Gok’s [Wan] dumplings,” he added.
When will Phillip Schofield return to This Morning?
Due to Phillip testing positive for Covid-19, that means the ITV host will miss This Morning for the rest of the week.
This is because current rules state that you need to test negative on Thursday and Friday in order to be isolated early.
If those test results remain positive on Sunday, his place on the Dancing On Ice live show will be in doubt.
Phillip last hosted This Morning on Monday with Rochelle and on Sunday night with Holly Willoughby for Dancing on Ice.
Rochelle has replaced Holly for the past two weeks, because she was busy filming for her new show for the BBC.
